Made with care in Spelthorne, United Kingdom.
Beechwood Barn Woodcraft is a small collective of craftspeople based in Spelthorne; we commenced trading in late 2020. It is run by Chris Bond, a retired Building Surveyor, and his son Louis who is a trained cabinet maker.
Our primary output comprises hand-turned wooden bowls and other treenware, but we also produce bespoke wooden cabinets, display cases, and small items of furniture. Louis also refurbishes antique and vintage hand tools to a high standard of accuracy and precision - these will become available for sale in our shop in time.
In the interest of preserving history, as well as reducing our ecological impact on the future and countering the throwaway culture that has developed around hardware, we endeavour to use refurbished hand and power tools for our craft. All Chris’s turning is carried out using a 1960's Coronet Major woodturning and woodworking machine, fully refurbished by us in 2019. Our current restoration project is a Walker Turner drill press dating from just before WWII. This will be used in our barn-based workshop in place of the existing modern equivalent.
We are happy to take orders for bespoke turned items, display cases, tools, or any other item you may consider to be within our remit. Please use the contact form, or email us directly at (domain). We look forward to hearing from you.
